Kevin McDonald answers your questions
Joe Elliott, age 11 from Burnley
‘My favorite moment at Burnley has probably been the victory against Arsenal in the cup. Obviously the cup run has been fantastic this year. It was a very tough game and the fact that we played so well on the night and we had a full house here made the atmosphere fantastic.’
Who do you think is the best player at Burnley and why?
Thomas Hampson, age 11 from Preston
‘That’s one that I can’t really answer to be honest. It’s difficult for me to say who the best player is, there are a good few with excellent attributes. I’d probably say that the most talented player is Eagles or Blake and the hardest working player, the one I most respect, is Graham Alexander’.
When will your brother be visiting Burnley to watch you play?
Nicky Unwin, age 13 from Nelson
‘He would have been coming tomorrow night (against Spurs) if I hadn’t been suspended. He won’t be coming as I won’t be playing so I
don’t know when he’ll come down next, probably some midweek game. He’s been to a few games before, he came to Arsenal in the FA cup last season and the odd Sunday game, but it’s difficult because most of the time when we have a midweek game he has Champions League games.’
What is the thing you most miss about Scotland?
Hannah Scott age 11 & Andrew Scott aged 6, from Littleborough
‘My family’
If you had to pick a new Burnley captain, who would it be?
Joe Elliott, age 11 from Burnley
‘Well I hope I’m going to be captain for a long time yet. I think vice-captain Graham Alexander is obviously a great captain, he’s captained a lot of teams he’s played for in the past. He’s got a lot of experience. If it wasn’t for Grez I’d go for Michael Duff.’
Which football kit (that you have worn) do you like the most?
Joe Elliott, age 11 from Burnley
‘I actually like the kit we’re wearing this season to be honest, I think it’s a nice kit. It’s comfortable. My favorite kit was an old Newcastle kit which had a sort of ‘granddad’ collar. Maybe in 95-96 something like that, it was a fantastic kit.’
What’s your favorite team you've ever played for?
Harvey Macadam age 8, Burnley
‘I’d have to say Newcastle. That’s my team, I grew up there. I was going there since I was 14. I feel really close to the city; my wife is from there, so they’re my team really.’
